When Missing Loved Ones Becomes a Lifestyle
I grew up missing people. My father was a visitor man — a corporate nomad — then when information technology came time to movement once more, we packed up and went where the career opportunities led him.
The only place he ever declined to move was Utah. That'due south considering no one in their right heed agrees to motion to Utah. (Hey, no offense.)
Growing up, I missed friends, neighbors, and classmates across half dozen states. Relationships were temporary. Living hundreds of miles from relatives, we visited them once or twice a year. For seven years, my dad worked second shift so he could climb that corporate ladder; often I missed him, too.
When I attended higher, naturally it was out-of-state. Then, I landed a corporate job much like his and continued the nomadic lifestyle of corporate relocations and missing people.
One time I became a parent, however, I sought to ensure that my own girl didn't grow up missing people she loved. I wanted to give her the gift of beingness "from" somewhere. I wanted to give her the souvenir of not continually feeling loss or separation from all that was familiar.
We at present live a rock's throw from my parents and other family. Corporate nomads eventually find their oasis, and it'due south rarely at the summit of the organizational ladder.
Where is your oasis?

Alright Flourish, these are all great "Missing Y'all Songs" only once one puts God and Christ 1st in one's life, they will not accept time or infinite to miss anyone from a romantic relationship ever again. Some squeamish writing and some good tunes.
The juxtaposition of songs about real, raw actual emotion to some of the made upwardly nonsense concerning "micro-aggressions" on college campuses today is startling. We used to use things like music to cope with anxiety and depression. And so nosotros moved to drugging almost a whole gild and at present nosotros are beginning to see a generation that act equally if they are and so fragile you tin can't even inquire where they were built-in for fear of hurting their feelings.
